Intersail - Cruises and cycling holidays

Intersail cruises and cycling holidays has been organizing boat trips for the past 27 years. Ymkje Rypkema founded Intersail in 1986. Her husband Toon Sevens is the captain and he has been sailing on hotel ships since 1981. You can rely on many years experience throughout your trip. And more important, you feel home at the ship.

While you are sailing on the fascinating canals of Amsterdam or Lake IJssel – eat and sleep on board our Hotel Boat and discover the Netherlands in a relaxing fashion. Take nightly strolls in our beautiful cities and towns. There are several points of interests: the Anne Frank Museum, the Rembrandt Museum, the Keukenhof (from March to May), the Zaanse Schans Outdoor Museum, to name a few.

Intersail organises group travels and city trips starting from Amsterdam, The Boats are docked in Oosterdok harbour, very close to Central station Amsterdam. We welcome you aboard for an unforgettable voyage.

Starting from the Oosterdom in Amsterdam Avontuur sails through the Netherlands, Avontuur, the boat where you also enjoy your meals and accommodation.
Discover the Netherlansd in a comfortable fashion along the picturesque canals and channels of North and South Holland. the rivers Maas, Rijn and IJsel or cross lake IJsel
Fun cities or villages, or visit tourist sites like Keukenhof , de Zaanse Schans or one of the northern Isles like: Texel.

The Boats
All boats that Intersail sails with are safe and are up to regulation standards of the Dutch naval inspection.
The lowest budget ships have2 to 3 stars and their huts can accomodate 2 or 4 people up to 40 people in total. The showers are shared with the other rooms and the prices are normally between 35 and 39 euro per person per day. the more luxurious boats have their own shower and toilets and cost about 90 to 100 euro per person per day.

The boat Avontuur has adjustable bunk beds which means all the rooms can accommodate a flexible amount of people. when all beds are set up a maximum of 30 people can sleep aboard Avontuur , in a more spacious set up it can be 16. any variation in between is of course also possible.
