Cycling through the varied Dutch landscape and discovering the land from the water: that’s the unique combination offered by Intersail’s Cycling-Sailing Holidays. The tour takes you to beautiful green cycling routes and the rivers lead to historic cities.
Holland is made for cycling. Its bicycle paths are known for their quality and safety and they cover the entire country. Through vast open spaces or cities alike. The Netherlands is also land of water, with its rivers, canals and lakes. By taking the waterways you will discover Holland from a surprising different vantage point.
Cycling
Riding your bike with Intersail stands for a relaxed trip, trekking carefully planned routes either accompanied by a guide or on your own with detailed directions. Before you set out in the morning, you prepare your own picnic lunch. Per bicycle trip you cover a distance of about 50 kilometres, but for the die-hards longer routes are available. At the end of the afternoon the ship is moored on the next location, waiting for the cyclists with hot coffee, tea and cakes or cookies. Our rental bikes are equipped with 8 gears and a set of bicycle bags. If you want to, you can bring your own bike. There is limited room for e-bikes. Sailing
The ship is your floating hotel that accompanies you during your stay. It is the base from where the cycle trips start and where you dine and sleep. The cabins are small but sufficient. They are all equipped with a wash basin with hot and cold running water, central heating and a porthole window you can open. The showers and toilets are situated in the front of the ship and are for communal use. The ship has a modern kitchen in which the cook prepares outstanding three-course dinners. These are served in the ships salon, which has big windows, making sure you can enjoy the view.

Holiday
The cycling-sailing holidays of Intersail are a wonderful means to discover Holland. Riding your bike, cruising on rivers and visiting the ancient cities where the ship is anchored for the night. On the ship’s deck there is room for sunbathing and shadow is provided by a tarp. The salon has climate control.
The atmosphere on board is relaxed, the meals are outstanding and combined with the friendly staff this provides the perfect holiday spirit.
